Mary Jo Malone

Mary Jo Malone's career includes professional experience in federal and state government and medical association work. She is currently the Executive Vice President and CEO of the Physicians Advocacy Institute, Inc. (PAI).

She joined the PAI in 2006 after spending nineteen years advocating for physicians through her work with the American Medical Association (AMA). Ms. Malone held various positions with the AMA including Director of Federal Affairs in the AMA's Washington, DC office. She retired from the AMA after most recently serving seven years as the Vice President of Private Sector Advocacy.

In this position, she led the AMA's advocacy efforts to restore fairness for physicians on multiple fronts with private health insurers. She has worked closely with state and county medical associations throughout her career at the AMA.

Ms. Malone holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.
